Job Opportunity

This role is responsible for overseeing the deployment of changes to custom built applications, coordinating operational and on-call support, and providing line management for a team of analysts/programmers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deploy new features and updates to custom built applications
  • Coordinate operational and on-call support for the Assessment Applications team
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of 4 Analyst/Programmers
  • Develop strategic reports and briefings on team activities
  • Plan and coordinate system maintenance and outages for business requirements
  • Manage user access to custom built applications
Skill Requirements
  • Highly driven, enthusiastic and sets high standards in work performance
  • Experience working within an IT application development team
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude
  • Will to learn and adapt to changing priorities
  • Solid spoken and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • ITIL Certification in Information Technology
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
  • IT Service Desk / 2nd level / 3rd level management experience – team management, work allocation and reporting
  • Solid understanding of IT architecture components – network and firewalls, Unix and Windows servers, Oracle and SQL database, application server, code management / compiling / deployment, application monitoring, packaging and deployment practices
