Add Value - The Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and support our Work Health and Safety system. This role supports all aspects of safety including system development, policy and procedure review, audits, investigation, reporting and more.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide WHS expertise, guidance, support and education to all staff
  • Assist with the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our WHS system
  • Conduct regular WHS audits across the organization including internal and external audits as required
  • Identify and facilitate strategies to improve safety and mitigate claims
  • Work in partnership with key stakeholders to develop and implement policy, procedures, systems and education programs
  • Support incident investigation and hazard resolution
  • Provide WHS statistics and reports as required
  • Manage workplace health surveillance, including vaccinations and immunisations as required
  • Administer the rehabilitation of injured workers including recover at work programs in accordance with relevant legislation
  • Support emergency preparedness and response programs, such as fire drills and evacuation
  • Coordinate WHS education, induction and training to ensure compliance with legislative requirements
  • In consultation with key stakeholders, assist in the development and continuous improvement of SWMS and SWPs
  • Lead investigations where a serious incident has occurred or as directed by management
  • Participate in outdoor worker toolbox talks to discuss incidents, hazards, and incident investigation outcomes
  • Assist with onsite risk assessments for high-risk work and other field support as required
