Work Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a skilled professional to deliver and support our Council's Work Health and Safety system.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. As a key member of our WHS team, you will be responsible for:
- Providing expert guidance and support in WHS to staff
- Assisting in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our WHS system
- Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with WHS regulations
- Supporting incident investigation and hazard resolution processes
- Managing workplace health surveillance and administering rehabilitation programs for injured workers
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety or a related field
- Accreditation as a Return to Work Coordinator
- Expert knowledge of WHS legislation and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to positively influence and negotiate positive outcomes
In return for your expertise and commitment, we offer a competitive remuneration package, including a base salary range of $103,561 - $116,492 per annum, plus a motor vehicle allowance and superannuation benefits.
