We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Mobile Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team at our operations. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for conducting heavy vehicle mechanical maintenance on our autonomous mobile plant, including equipment such as excavators, drills, front-end loaders, dozers, graders and autonomous haul trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on autonomous equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including technical documentation, reports and drawings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve expected results and support the Autonomous Maintenance Supervisor with rescheduling of work, organizing and coordinating resources, scoping of work and determining priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in implementing new initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, and promote a culture of safety within the team.

Requirements:

  • Australian Recognised Heavy Diesel/Auto Electrical Trade Certificate.
  • CAT or Westrac training preferred.
  • Strong heavy vehicle mechanical fitting maintenance competency, with sound diagnostic abilities.
  • Experience working in an autonomous mining environment.
  • C Class Drivers Licence (HR Desirable).
  • Forklift Licence, EWP, Working at Heights, CV (Hiab), CN (Non Slewing Crane), Dogman, Confined Space (Desirable).
  • Command/Terrain Training preferred.
  • Ability to work off CAT schematic drawings.
  • Exposure to FIFO or shift work.
  • Strong presentation, communication and coaching skills, and the ability to work closely in a team environment.

Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
