Research Assistant

The Research Assistant position provides critical support to the research team in laboratory work, cell production, and administrative tasks. This role is part of the Spinal Injury Project team, which is conducting a clinical trial of a cell transplantation therapy for treating spinal cord injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the research team in carrying out day-to-day cell production duties, ensuring high-quality cell production workflow in accordance with PC2 laboratory requirements.
- Support cell biology experiments using human and rodent cells at Griffith's Gold Coast campus.
- Provide administrative assistance to the head and senior staff members, including supporting research group activities and laboratory training.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with Honours or an equivalent combination of qualifications and/or experience.
Griffith University is a multi-campus institution, and this role may require working across different campus locations. The successful candidate will be based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus. Griffith University's campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh, and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range: The full-time equivalent base salary for a Research Assistant (Grade 2) is in the range $80,000 - $84,000 per annum, plus 17% superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range $94,000 - $99,000 per annum.
