Senior Research Assistant

This position provides high level research assistance for the research project: Implementing cognitive interventions for older people in memory clinics: A pilot feasibility study , as directed by Associate Professor Kerryn Pike. The primary research is a pilot trial, conducted by the Australian Dementia Network (ADNeT) Cognitive Interventions Working Group . The trial aims to determine whether a clinician training package can increase the availability of cognitive interventions for older adults with mild cognitive impairment through memory clinics.
The Senior Research Assistant will be involved in data analysis, preparing papers for publication, conference presentations, and funding applications.

This is a fixed term (until 31st Dec with opportunity to extend), part-time (0.5FTE) position and can be based remotely. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be SR Level 1 range $88, - $99, per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $, - $, per annum.

The occupant of this position will also hold a Masters Degree or equivalent qualifications/work experience in a relevant field, with the following desirable attributes and experience:
- A passion for making a difference and improving services for people with mild cognitive impairment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
- Experience in research and evaluation, including data collection and data analysis.
- Experience in writing grant applications and preparing papers for publication.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team. This includes confidentiality, versatility, and flexibility, enthusiasm with strong level of self-motivation and initiative with demonstrated ability to work as a co-operative, supportive and positive member of a team supporting continuous improvement.
- Qualitative and quantitative data analysis, relevant software packages including SPSS, Excel, REDcap, and NVivo (highly regarded).
- Experience with clinical neuropsychologists, cognitive interventions, memory clinics, older adults with mild cognitive impairment, implementation science (highly regarded).
