Area Manager, Sort Center Operations

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our team at the Sortation Center in Craigieburn. As an Area Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations and ensuring customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.
Key Responsibilities- Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to achieve high levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance.
- Maintain Health and Safety standards and promote a Health and Safety culture on-site.
- Collaborate with support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans to meet business objectives.
- Exercise sound judgement to ensure progress and targets are realistic and achievable.
Our World-Wide Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. Our Operation's workflow has three major components: First mile, Middle mile, and Last mile. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for guiding by example and training your team to progressively improve progress.
Requirements- 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Ability to push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts.
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience.
