About the Opportunity

St John's Child Care (Neutral Bay) is a not-for-profit Long Day Care Centre, providing Quality Care and Education to children aged birth-6 years.

This centre caters for up to 44 children, and is easily accessible by public transport via Military Road. Operating hours are from 7am-6pm.

Job Description
  • Caregiver Role: Support the service in the provision of high-quality care and education for children.

As a dedicated team member, you will be required to contribute to the development of positive relationships that support children, their families and community.

Learning Environments: Facilitate play-based learning environments that are responsive to children's interest, strengths, and abilities.

Documentation: Document children's learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes.

This role requires a Certificate III Qualified Educator to provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework.

Key Requirements
  • Must have completed a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, with previous on the job experience (preferred).
  • Be passionate about working with children of all ages.
  • A work history that demonstrates effective programming, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework (National Standard).
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members.
  • You'll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
