Room Leader

About the Role:

The role of a Room Leader is to provide high-quality care and education to children in their designated room. This involves creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that promotes learning and development.

As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for planning and implementing educational programs, supervising Educators, and collaborating with other staff members to achieve better outcomes for children.

  • Develop and implement educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards;
  • Supervise and mentor Educators to ensure they are providing high-quality care and education;
  • Collaborate with other staff members to achieve team goals and objectives;
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children in the room.

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent);
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards;
  • Current QLD Blue Card;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
