This position is part of AWS Infrastructure Services, which owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all global infrastructure.
About the Role
As a Data Center Operations Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure of AWS data centers, ensuring operational performance in areas such as safety, security, availability, productivity, capacity, efficiency, and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain routine maintenance and emergency service of critical systems, including switch-gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, fire systems, etc.
- Manage contractors and vendors to ensure work performed aligns with established practices and procedures.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on facility operations and maintenance.
- Generate change management requests and incident management tickets for facility-related events and assist in resolving infrastructure engineering and services issues.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need 4+ years of experience in facilities management, maintaining a data center or other critical space facility. You must also have experience using Microsoft Office and web browser-based applications and tooling.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline, along with experience in managing vendors/contractors performing construction, maintenance, and upgrading works in large-scale critical environments.
