Job Title: Administration Volunteer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administration Volunteer to join our team at the Asylum Seekers Center.

About the Role

The Administration Volunteer will provide administrative support to our Welcome & Registration Team by responding to enquiries, reviewing and processing registration forms, corresponding with clients and completing checklists to ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Client Support Services manager and team to identify and map relationships with external services.
  • Assist the Client Support Services manager to identify opportunities for collaboration and relationship building with external services.
  • Contact external services to ascertain whether people seeking asylum are eligible for their support.
  • Assist the Client Support Services manager in developing and streamlining Client Support Services policies and procedures.
  • Liaise and collaborate with various ASC departments when further information is required.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to closely follow workflows and guidance documents.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and organize tasks within the organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on extra tasks as appropriate.
  • Ability to adhere to policies in relation to code of conduct, boundaries and confidentiality.

  • Undertake a NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement and ensure it is up-to-date.
