About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Therapeutic Care Manager to lead our new therapeutic care home in the Central Coast. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Manage the Care Home: Oversee the daily operation of the care home, ensuring that it is run in accordance with the CARE model, legislation, relevant standards, and funding body requirements.
  • Provide Direct Care and Support: Provide direct care and support to children and young people within a residential care setting, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
  • Role Model and Supervise Staff: Be actively present in the home environment, providing role modeling to staff and overseeing the planning and implementation of therapeutic care plans.
  • Manage and Support Staff: Manage, support, and provide reflective supervision to your team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Embed Therapeutic Models of Support: Provide supervision and support to a team of Therapeutic Care Workers, to embed the delivery of therapeutic models of support to children and young people.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A Diploma of Community Services, Youth work, or related field (a qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience).
  • Leadership Experience: Previous leadership experience in services that support children and young people, such as OOHC and ITC settings.
  • Support Experience: Experience supporting people with disabilities, complex health needs, and those who exhibit pain-based behaviors of concern.
  • Certifications: Current First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011) & CPR (HLTAID009) Certificate/s and a current Driver's License.
