Visual Arts Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a creative and passionate Visual Arts Teacher to join our school community. This is a part-time role, starting in 2026.

About the Role

This position involves teaching Visual Arts lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, fostering creativity, self-expression, and appreciation of the arts in students. The successful applicant will also be responsible for organising and displaying student artwork, differentiating learning to meet the needs of all students, and contributing positively to the life of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Visual Arts lessons that cater to diverse student needs.
  • Foster a supportive environment that encourages students to explore and express themselves through art.
  • Develop and implement inclusive art programs that promote creativity, skill-building, and celebration of student achievement.
  • Maintain a designated Visual Arts classroom space that inspires creativity and productivity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current VIT registration.
  • Qualifications and/or experience in teaching Visual Arts.
  • Strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum.
  • Effective communication and classroom management skills.
