About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locomotive Driver to join our team at Aurizon's Vic Dock depot in Melbourne. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of locomotives, including mainline, shunting, and marshalling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate locomotives in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures.
  • Examine and certify trains as ready for departure.
  • Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to enable Aurizon to meet its business objectives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong commitment to safety and Aurizon's safety strategy.
  • Experience in Victoria Safe Working systems.
  • Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience.
  • A Certificate IV in Rail Operations (or equivalent).
  • A current unrestricted driver's licence.
