Job Title: Middle School Leader

Job Description:
Koonung Secondary College seeks an exceptional educator to lead our middle school team. As a Middle School Leader, you will be responsible for promoting excellence in teaching and learning, leading student recognition assemblies, and overseeing the transition process from Grade 6 to Year 7.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage staff compliance with college policies and procedures
  • Oversee and publicize middle school events and ensure timely completion of middle school responsibilities
  • Ensure effective communication between parents, teachers, and wellbeing staff
  • Actively promote and lead innovation in teaching and learning and student wellbeing and connectedness within the college
  • Oversee administration associated with students in the middle school including admissions, attendance, student engagement, and wellbeing

Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
  • Provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum planning and delivery
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • A commitment to promoting student wellbeing and engagement
