At Cornerstone Medical Recruitment, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Quality/Education Manager in Devonport, Tasmania.

Estimated Annual Salary: AU$80,000 - AU$110,000

Job Description:

As a Quality/Education Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping the clinical and care teams at our aged care facility. Your leadership skills and expertise in education will be crucial in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • SUPPORT THE CLINICAL DIRECTOR AND CLINICAL MANAGEMENT TEAM: Provide leadership and guidance to the Clinical and Care team, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
  • FOSTER COLLABORATION: Act as a lead clinical resource, working closely with residents, their representatives, and the team to promote person-centered quality care.
  • UPHOLD ORGANISATIONAL VALUES: Exemplify the Vision, Mission, and Values of Cornerstone Medical Recruitment through all actions and behaviors, reflecting our commitment to excellence.
  • DELIVER DIRECT CLINICAL TRAINING: Ensure staff understand their roles and scope of practice, promoting competency and best practices in nursing care delivery.
  • MENTOR STAFF: Support the development of a skilled workforce by mentoring staff in learning and competency assessments.
  • ASSESS, PLAN, DEVELOP, IMPLEMENT, AND EVALUATE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to enhance competency and nursing care delivery.
  • PROMOTE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement process, driving positive change and innovation within the organisation.
  • MAINTAIN LEGISLATIVE KNOWLEDGE: Stay up-to-date with all legislation related to Residential Aged Care, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • CONDUCT AUDITS AND REPORT TRENDS: Regularly audit and report trends to relevant departments, contributing to the improvement of quality care and services.
  • ASSIST IN INDUCTION: Support the induction of new staff members, fostering a culture of welcome and inclusivity.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • AUSTRALIAN WORKING RIGHTS: Possess full-time Australian working rights.
  • AHPRA REGISTRATION: Hold current AHPRA Registration.
  • CERTIFICATE IV IN TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT: Preferably possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (but not essential).
  • MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS CLINICAL EXPERIENCE: Have a minimum of 5 years' clinical experience, with essential aged care experience.
  • LEADERSHIP CAPABILITIES: Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
