Vehicle Motion Control Engineer Role

As a Vehicle Motion Control Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing advanced vehicle control features for next-generation electric vehicles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a tightly integrated, high-performance vehicle motion experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop vehicle motion control features such as One Pedal Drive, Drive Modes, Traction Control, Torque Vectoring, and Vehicle Hold
  • Contribute to the architecture and integration of control algorithms into production vehicle platforms
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Systems Engineering, and Functional Safety teams to define and refine feature requirements
  • Implement supervisory safety checks in alignment with functional safety goals
  • Develop and execute test plans at the software, subsystem, and vehicle levels
  • Support the development and use of simulation tools and integration test environments
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall quality and robustness of the control software stack
  • Work collaboratively across hardware, software, and validation teams to resolve issues and improve system performance
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in vehicle controls, embedded systems, or motion control domains
  • Experience developing high-performance chassis systems such as torque vectoring, adaptive damping, or stability control
  • Experience developing safety-critical software stacks in compliance with automotive safety standards
  • Solid understanding of control systems and real-world implementation in automotive applications
  • Strong knowledge and experience with software development (C/C++, Python, or MATLAB/Simulink) and real-time embedded systems
  • Familiarity with safety development frameworks such as ISO 26262
  • Experience with integration and validation of software using HIL or vehicle-level environments
