The role of Electrical Engineer – Simulation involves supporting the maintenance of RAAF training systems by analyzing electrical systems, determining compliance status, investigating hardware sparing and obsolescence issues, conducting evaluation and testing, undertaking life cycle costing analysis of critical subsystems, and ensuring accurate configuration documentation.

As an Electrical Engineer – Simulation, you will work collaboratively with other engineering professionals to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of the Australian Defence Force.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the maintenance of RAAF training systems
- Analyzing electrical systems and determining compliance status
- Investigating hardware sparing and obsolescence issues
- Conducting evaluation and testing
- Undertaking life cycle costing analysis of critical subsystems
- Ensuring accurate configuration documentation
This role requires a University Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic Engineering or related discipline (Computer Science). Systems Engineering experience is desirable, as is ability to manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility. Defence platform-based or sustainment experience is also beneficial, particularly in aviation knowledge / experience specifically with F/A-18F and EA-18G aircraft.
