Senior Accountant Role

This position supports the delivery of major road infrastructure projects in Melbourne. The role involves working closely with the Commercial team and wider project team to provide management and cost accounting.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing project bank accounts, and providing finance support to the project management team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

  • Ensure timely submission and preparation of progress claims and tax invoices to clients.
  • Provide detailed, accurate, and relevant reporting and commentary on forecasts, budget, and cash flow to the project team and corporate finance team.

Project Support:

  • Manage the accrual process and prepare journals for project accruals and adjustments.
  • Assist in the provision of management and cost accounting services to the project team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in an accounting-related discipline.
  • 6+ years postgraduate experience.
  • CPA/CA qualification is highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry highly regarded.
