About the ProgramThe Ignatius Learning Centre was established in 2021 with the goal of providing a holistic education to young people who have experienced disrupted education and are at risk of incarceration or further involvement with the youth justice system.
As a specialist Catholic Secondary School, we are guided by a Catholic social ethos and Ignatian heritage. Our education model is designed to foster responsibility, transformation, and a sense of belonging among our students.

About the RoleThis dynamic role is part of the Engagement Team, which plays a crucial role in engaging students and their families in the school community. The team works in partnership with the teaching team to ensure the school is meeting the complex learning and classroom behavioural needs of its students.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a shared caseload of 7-10 students, working collaboratively with teachers to implement interventions and support student engagement. This role requires a high level of relationship-building, assertive outreach, and collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, families, legal teams, and external service providers.

- Demonstrated understanding of young people involved with youth justice and histories of school disengagement and trauma
- Experience working with marginalized, complex, young people and their families to achieve positive outcomes

- Understanding and sympathy for the mission and ethos of Jesuit Social Services
