The Opportunity

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Manager to join our Workplace Technology team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the project delivery program of works that our team is accountable for. You'll also be responsible for developing and continually evolving and reporting upon our Workplace Technology Strategy for a rolling 24 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control the project execution, reporting progress to various stakeholders and relevant forums.
  • Manage and facilitate the team's daily/weekly work, including execution of sprint ceremonies when necessary.
  • Help the team members achieve optimum productivity.
  • Provide leadership and decision-making support by establishing project governance and excellent relationships across Technology and the wider business.
  • Remove obstacles or impediments faced by the team in its work.
  • Collaborate with internal CoE (centers of excellence) to leverage existing guidelines and standards.
Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Tertiary qualified in Technology or a related field.
  • Extensive professional experience in a similar environment.
  • Significant and relevant experience in IT Delivery roles in similar sized and/or financial services organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain excellent customer and peer relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Experience in understanding, designing, and delivering IT Delivery teams that are of high quality and highly customer-focused.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with managed service providers, partners, suppliers, and peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively determine and manage own tasks, actions, and workload in support of the achievement of team goals.
  • Exposure to environments of significant organizational change and demonstrated ability to build and maintain change resilience.
