About the Team

Service Delivery's primary function is to directly connect the agency with our clients and key stakeholders, playing a pivotal role in fostering healthy and connected communities. Through informed advice, effective engagement, and efficient delivery of funding programs, we aim to empower individuals and communities to actively participate in sports and recreational activities, regardless of socio-economic factors or geographic location.

About the Area

The Central service area is vast and diverse, stretching from Ingham in the North, west to the Northern Territory border, and south to Discovery Coast. Our communities are as varied as the landscape, and we work in major populated centres to tiny outback and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, tropical islands to bustling mining towns in order to support people to lead active lives through engagement, innovation, experience, and understanding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage and maintain local networks and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Identify business opportunities and work in partnership with stakeholders on key regional initiatives.
  • Support and encourage participation and success in sport and active recreation through grant funding, infrastructure and participation programs, and precincts and venues.

  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency status, or a visa permitting you to work in Australia.
