Job Title: Associate Hydrogeologist

We are seeking a motivated groundwater professional to join our technical team and help grow our business, leveraging existing opportunities and developing new partnerships.

This role is for an Associate Hydrogeologist reporting to the QLD State Lead. The position can be based in Brisbane or Townsville, with existing teams of 16 and 5 staff respectively.

The ideal candidate will have 6-12 years of industry experience as a hydrogeologist, including consultancy experience. They should also hold an appropriate Engineering or Science tertiary qualification.

A strong technical background in hydrogeological conceptualization, impact assessment, investigation, and modelling (analytical/numerical) is required. Practical knowledge of data collection and fieldwork management, commitment to Health and Safety, and experience managing large technical projects within scope, time, and budget constraints are also necessary.

Strong communication skills for overseeing staff and coordinating teams, ability to provide technical advice to clients and team members, excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and team effectiveness are essential.

Understanding of QLD groundwater legislation and policies, with knowledge of other national and state regulations, is also required.

Australian citizenship or rights to work in Australia, valid driver's license, and good driving record are necessary.

  • Expansion of our work with Tier 1 clients in Mining, Infrastructure, Renewables, and Industry.
  • Delivery of multidisciplinary projects and smaller, specialized ones.
  • Application of practical hydrogeology knowledge and leading projects across various industries.
