Job Title: Senior Software Development Leader

A highly skilled professional is required to lead the software development and integration of our network of Automatic Weather Stations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our weather forecasts and warnings.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in software development, including scripting, testing, verification, and operationalisation of equipment. They will also possess strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to foster delivery and innovation within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement software solutions that meet business needs and technical requirements.
  • Leverage expertise in data acquisition and measurement technologies to inform software development decisions.
  • Mentor and guide technical teams to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritise project requirements.
  • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
