About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Research Assistant to support our research operations at our Icon Cancer Centre in Townsville. As a Clinical Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of administrative tasks associated with clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, process, and dispatch samples and other materials required by clinical research protocols.
  • Prepare patient visit requirements, assist in appointment scheduling, and external hospital liaison for tissue requirements or medical information.
  • Provide support to the research staff in relation to clinical trial administration tasks.
  • Manage investigator site files and essential documents as per GCP.
  • Facilitate the attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original, and accurate collection of source data.
  • Work closely with monitors for ongoing monitoring at site and facilitate remote visits.

About You:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to manage your workload, build professional relationships with various healthcare professionals, and independently solve problems. A relevant undergraduate degree in health sciences, nursing, or allied health field or working towards one of these qualifications is essential. Experience in pathology and laboratory processing is beneficial but not mandatory.

Mandatory Requirements:
  • Relevant undergraduate degree in health sciences, nursing, or allied health field or working towards one of these qualifications.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and database management.
  • Experience in pathology/laboratory processing beneficial but not mandatory.
