Job Overview

The role of Asset Strategy Engineer is to develop and implement strategies for asset lifecycle planning, reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance in substation environments.

This position requires expertise in the development of Asset Class Strategies, Asset Design Manuals, Maintenance Strategies, and Functional Requirements. The successful candidate will provide guidance on these matters and manage risks associated with construction, commissioning, installation, testing, and operation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement asset lifecycle strategies for substations, ensuring reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  2. Provide technical leadership and oversight to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  3. Manage risks associated with construction, commissioning, installation, testing, and operation, ensuring that all necessary controls are in place.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  5. Act as a subject matter expert in asset management and risk management, providing guidance and support to other teams as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in asset management and risk management.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to influence and negotiate outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills.
