About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as the Show Experience Lead for Geelong Surf Coast. As a key member of our regional team, you will be responsible for supporting the execution and production of events in your city, working closely with our local and regional teams to ensure seamless and safe experiences for our audience, artists, hosts, crew, and AV team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a local leader to ensure the highest-quality experience and safety at every Sofar show produced in Geelong Surf Coast.
  • Act as a liaison to facilitate connection between Sofar and the local community.
  • Manage day-of event supplies and local gear inventory.
  • Conduct venue visits to ensure suitability for Sofar events.
  • Develop and host local events to bring the team and community together.
  • Scout, refer, and recommend artists, venues, crew, and community partners that align with Sofar's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and representation in Geelong Surf Coast.
  • Work shows regularly, up to 15 per month, dependent on market needs.
  • Be an expert on the local market, providing recommendations for improvements on ways of working and supporting local musicians.

  • You can work autonomously but remain connected to the team.
  • You have people management experience.
  • You have a sincere and empathetic approach to work and communications.
  • You're organized, detail-oriented, and work well with deadlines and problem-solving.
  • You're passionate about building and supporting local community.
  • You're able to work flexible working hours.
  • Previous experience in producing live music events, customer service, or hospitality is a plus.
