Hardscape Landscaper Job Description

Your primary responsibilities include installing various hardscapes such as pavers, tiles, natural stone and limestone blocks.

Specific tasks include:

  • Cutting, shaping and polishing stones and bricks using machines and hand tools to fit irregular spaces.
  • Installation of metal edging.
  • Reading landscape design prints to determine materials, dimensions and implementing the landscape construction plan.
  • Executing the construction plan with a clear understanding of elevations.
  • Operating mechanical equipment proficiently including bobcats, backhoes, plate compactors, stone grinders, drills, gas and electric chop saws, demolition hammers, and jackhammers.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including worksite and equipment.
  • Maintaining assigned equipment and notifying mechanics of needed repairs.

The successful individual will have working knowledge of standard construction practices and basic understanding of electricity, piping, and plumbing. Additionally, 3-5 years of hardscape and landscape installation experience is preferred.

This role requires collaboration with others and reading/executing blueprints. Paver, step, and wall installation with Uni-Lock or similar product(s), masonry, veneer work, recognizing plant material, operating skid-steer & mini-excavators, and maintaining a valid manual driver's license are also key aspects of this job.
