Maintenance Carpenter Apprentice

This is a fantastic chance to kickstart your career in carpentry, focusing on maintenance and repair. You will gain valuable hands-on experience, ensuring our assets are safe, functional, and in working order.
You will complete a Certificate III in Carpentry course at a renowned training institution, acquiring practical knowledge and skills related to the presentation of our city.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Building Maintenance team with repair and maintenance tasks, including fixing doors, windows, and fixtures, replacing damaged timber, and installing and repairing parkland furniture & equipment, fencing, minor concreting works, and using hand and power tools.
- Read and follow maintenance plans; work safely in occupied buildings.
- Contribute to the preparation and presentation of the city through on-the-job and off-the-job training during the apprenticeship.
- Temporary full-time employment up to 4 years (or for the duration of the apprenticeship)
- 38 hours per week with access to a flexible roster
- On-the-job training
- Compulsory course costs paid by the employer
