Careerone Partner Network is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at Gaylord Indian Restaurant in Docklands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present high-quality Tandoor dishes to consistently meet customer expectations.
  • Plan menus, considering food costs, special events, and occasion needs.
  • Monitor food quality and freshness, ensuring a smooth running of food production.
  • Discuss food preparation issues with the head Chef, Managers, and kitchen staff.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen activities to maintain productivity and efficiency.
  • Implement Food Safety Management Systems and maintain kitchen hygiene and health and safety measures.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III / IV in Commercial cookery or Hospitality (desirable).
  • Industry recognized Food Handling Certificate.
  • Knowledge of Indian spices, curries, and Tandoor cooking techniques.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work well under pressure.
  • High standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
