Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled High Voltage Electrical Testing Technician to join our Western Sydney team.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading company in the high voltage infrastructure sector.
As a High Voltage Electrical Testing Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and servicing high voltage equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all works in a safe, effective, and productive manner
- Always perform work in accordance with Project Specific Risk Management Plan (PSRMP)
- Report all unsafe practices, safety hazards, injuries, and incidents immediately to your Supervisor
- Complete Inspection & Testing Procedures
- Be computer literate and maintain up to date paperwork
- Ensure compliance to all relevant Australian Standards
- Maintain ongoing skills development and Electrical licencing requirements
- Ensure Isolations are conducted in accordance with Stowe Australia's mandatory 4 stages of isolation procedure
- Ensure all electrical work is conducted in accordance with the Stowe Australia Arc Flash Clothing requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of High Voltage testing throughout the employee engagement process
- Have experience in High Voltage switching
- Extensive experience in the maintenance of transformers, switchboards, ring main units, circuit breakers, substation / industrial control systems and power factor correction equipment
- Current unrestricted NSW Electrical License
- A self-motivated approach with an ability to work unsupervised
- Current CPR & LV Rescue Certificate
- Construction Industry General Safety Induction
- Current Drivers Licence
- Good communication skills – interpersonal & organisational
- Reliable and punctual attendance to work
- Contributes to achieve desired outcomes and a positive work culture
