Production Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our team in driving value and productivity through continuous improvement initiatives.

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience leading, motivating, and developing team members, as well as solid knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Food Safety, and quality assurance systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing production lines, preparing and running production plans, and operating state-of-the-art machinery. They will also be expected to train line staff, monitor employee performance, manage issues where necessary, and participate in cycle counts/stocktakes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily toolbox meetings and regularly update the Factory Manager on day-to-day operations
  • Prepare and run the production plans
  • Oversee production lines - taking a hands-on approach
  • Operating state-of-the-art machinery
  • Training line staff
  • Monitor employee performance and manage issues where necessary
  • Basic maintenance of operational plant and equipment
  • Participate in cycle counts/stocktakes
  • Develop and foster a strong WH&S culture
  • Manage compliance to quality standards
  • Unload/load trucks and prepare outgoing deliveries

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Production Supervisor / Team Leader, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience leading, motivating, and developing team members
  • Solid knowledge/understanding of HACCP, GMP, Food Safety, and quality assurance systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • A proven track record of driving value and productivity through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence key stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Forklift Licence - An advantage, but not essential
  • Good computer skills
  • High attention to detail
