About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our team and spearhead the expansion of our workshop operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient service delivery and maintenance of high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workshop Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient service delivery and maintenance of high-quality standards.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of technicians and support staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Process Development: Develop and implement processes and procedures to streamline workshop operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Service Expansion: Expand workshop services to include servicing and repairs for customer-owned bikes, as well as parts and accessory sales.
  • Business Development: Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for expanding workshop operations throughout Australia, including identifying potential locations and overseeing new workshop openings.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze workshop performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Compliance and Safety: Maintain a safe and compliant working environment, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and industry partners to ensure timely delivery of parts and accessories and negotiate favorable terms.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in workshop management, preferably in the automotive or motorcycle industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of motorcycle and scooter servicing and repair techniques, including familiarity with a variety of makes and models.
  • Inventory Management: Understanding of inventory management principles and experience with inventory control systems.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers, staff, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities.
  • Certifications: Valid motorcycle license and/or relevant certifications preferred.
