Senior Enterprise Data Modeller

Experience an exciting opportunity to join our Queensland Government client based in Brisbane CBD as a Senior Enterprise Data Modeller. As a key member of our analytics division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), driving sustainable data services, and mentoring team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and continuously improve EDW platform capabilities
  • Design and implement complex enterprise data models, transformations, and integration pipelines
  • Support metadata management, data matching algorithms, and data quality initiatives
  • Collaborate with BI Analysts and develop secure APIs for reporting
  • Provide leadership and mentorship within the data team
  • Resolve incidents, manage deployments, and monitor critical application functions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in SAP HANA 2.0 modelling, including calculation views, CDS, procedures, and table functions
  • Proficiency in SQL with relational databases, query optimisation, and data integrity
  • Experience with SDI, SDQ, SAP SAC, and Microsoft Power BI
  • Deep understanding of conceptual, logical, and dimensional data modelling
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end data pipelines in on-premise or cloud environments
  • Excellent skills in data governance, security, and sensitive data handling
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable Skills:

  • SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics
  • Microsoft Synapse Analytics
  • Data Lakehouse architecture and implementation
  • SAP Certification
