Enterprise Solutions Architect

LOCATION (Hybrid): Brisbane (preferred), Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra

CLASSIFICATION/GRADE/BAND: $165,000 - $200,000/ annum

CONTRACT TERM: 6 Months (+possible 6 Months extension or a longer term opportunity)

Position Overview

The Enterprise Solution Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping the University's enterprise technology landscape. Operating within the IT Directorate, this role will design, develop, and oversee high-level solution architectures that align with the University's digital strategy, business priorities, and technology governance. The incumbent will act as a bridge between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring that solutions are robust, scalable, secure, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop enterprise solution architecture frameworks, standards, and roadmaps.

- Translate business requirements into sustainable solutions.

- Lead solution design workshops with stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance with legislation, privacy, and governance.

- Engage with faculties, divisions, and IT teams to ensure operational alignment.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Tertiary qualification in IT or related field.

- 8+ years in IT architecture, 3+ years in enterprise/solution architect role.

- Experience in enterprise-scale solutions and architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).

- Proficiency in cloud platforms(AWS, Azure, GCP), integration, APIs, and enterprise systems.

- Knowledge of security frameworks, privacy compliance, and data governance.

- Proficiency in Business Process and Solution Architecture

- Experience with Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Software

- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems

- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and modern development practices (e.g., Agile, DevOps).

- Higher education/public sector experience.

- Knowledge of student management, LMS, HR/payroll systems.
