Diagnostic Imaging Technician

Under the direction of a designated supervisor, the Imaging Professional performs at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
The incumbent is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care consistent with the standards of relevant professional organizations and hospital policies.
Responsibilities include performing a variety of imaging procedures that require independent judgment, skill, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
The incumbent must adhere to occupational health and safety standards and promote a safe work environment.
- Current certification as an M.R.T. Specialist
- Experience or training in Computed Tomography, preferred (willing to train to CT)
- Maintenance of current registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Association
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Commitment to excellence and accountability
- Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures
- Ability to perform technical duties efficiently
- General good health and a level of fitness appropriate to the demands of the position
