Senior Base Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Base Engineer to join our team at Regional Express. This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with engineering procedures and certification requirements in their area of responsibility.
  • Maintain the engineering infrastructure necessary to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) at the maintenance base.
  • Monitor and control costs associated with aircraft and ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance.

Leadership and Coordination:

  • Provide proactive leadership to the NSWA engineering-based staff.
  • Ensure schedule-based rostering to meet contract requirements.
  • Review planned maintenance activities in advance and coordinate resources to ensure timely completion.

Performance Metrics:

  • Monitor and control on-time performance (OTP), efficiency, costs, and other KPIs at the NSWA engineering base.
  • Amend regulatory and maintenance data held at the base as required.
  • Ensure the serviceability of tooling and equipment and manage a preventative maintenance/service program for GSE.

Requirements:

  • Proven self-starter with a flexible attitude.
  • Proven ability to manage a close-knit team.
  • Demonstrated willingness to accept responsibility.
  • Experience in airline operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines in a high-workload environment.
