We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to lead our Wound, Pressure Area Care and Continence service. As part of the broader Practice, Quality and Risk team, you will apply your Aged Care experience and expertise to support via hands-on billable clinical practice and consultation in wounds, infection control, and continence care.
You will collaborate with the Senior Palliative Care Lead who is also a Nurse Practitioner and the broader Practice Development and Quality and Clinical Governance Team, to support our Residential Aged Care, Home Care and Independent Living teams and their clients.
Your exceptional communication and interpersonal capabilities, combined with your innate curiosity and dedication to applying and sharing your knowledge and expertise in wound care, continence management, pressure area and infection control, will be essential to your success in this key role.
Your responsibilities will include:
- FOLLOWING CURRENT EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICES IN WOUND CARE, CONTINENCE MANAGEMENT AND INFECTION CONTROL POLICIES
- Providing expert clinical guidance and leadership to healthcare professionals, older people, and families
- Serving as a resource and mentor for other healthcare professionals seeking to expand their knowledge and skills in wound, continence care and infection control practices
- Fostering a culture of compassionate care and dignity for older people and their families
