Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of People to join our Senior Leadership Team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering overall governance of our HR practice and providing day-to-day support and guidance to line managers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the People Experience Team to provide effective, business-focused services that build capability within our people leaders.
- Manage a team of two People Coordinators, one onshore and one offshore.
- Oversee the management and governance of our People systems, policies, and procedures.
- Optimize our HRIS (Rippling) and Onboarding (emborder) systems to ensure seamless workflows and policies.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance on current industrial Award provisions, legislative matters, and change management processes.
- Manage multiple relationships with providers and government bodies, including EOR, Workcover, and employee benefit providers.
- Develop and implement People Experience-related plans, policies, strategies, and key projects to support our values and develop an engaged and positive working environment.
- Balance business performance with strategic priorities while minimizing risk.
- Implement modern practices around performance management, staff development, career succession planning, and staff retention.
- Oversee the onboarding of new employees and ongoing development of our current team.
- Be a culture champion and implement change that has a long-term positive impact on the business.
- Tertiary qualifications in human resources or equivalent, with at least seven years of relevant experience delivering human resources solutions, including two years in a management capacity.
- Up-to-date working knowledge of Fair Work legislation and relevant legislation.
- Proven track record of creating, delivering, and exceeding expectations in projects oriented around transformation in the people-centric function.
- Demonstrated experience in handling complex employee issues and providing solutions in line with employment laws and organizational policies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels of an organization to achieve and deliver results.
