Job Description

The primary classroom music teacher role involves delivering a high-quality academic program that recognizes and values high achievement in Literacy and Numeracy while developing each student's creativity, decision making, and problem solving skills.

A range of programs exist in the school which assist students with an appropriate level of support. The school aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for all students and staff.

To teach music effectively in a primary classroom setting you need to:

  1. Develop lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  2. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  3. Cultivate creativity and critical thinking in students through engaging music activities.
  4. Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching music in a primary classroom setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
