About the Role

The University of Melbourne is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research Support Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our research administration team, you will play a critical role in supporting the promotion and delivery of research and research training initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing event logistics and coordinating meetings and seminars
  • Maintaining website content and drafting e-newsletters
  • Providing secretariat support to the Research Director and School-level committees
  • Coordinating School-level meetings and ensuring the smooth administration of research-related communications and activities

You will have a degree and relevant experience, or equivalent expertise in technical or administrative fields, with well-developed time management and organizational skills to effectively balance competing priorities.

You will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, while showing initiative, sound judgment, and discretion in handling sensitive information.

With a strong work ethic, adaptability, and creativity, you will thrive in a dynamic environment, finding new solutions and working collaboratively with professional staff, academics, and clinicians.

An understanding of research administration, grants, and data is highly desirable, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and meeting support. Flexibility and inclusivity are key, as this role requires agility in managing changing priorities.

You will also have:

  • A high degree of initiative and sound judgment in solving problems or issues that may arise
  • Efficient time management and effective use of work resources without compromising on quality
