
Experienced Workshop Lead

Piacentini & Son offers a multifaceted role for an Experienced Workshop Leading Hand. This position provides technical support and leadership for our workshop team at the Cooljarloo Mineral Sands Project.
About You- You should have 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably with a recognized trade certificate in Heavy Duty Mechanics or Automotive Electrician.
- A Section 26 certification is highly regarded.
- You must display a clear commitment to health, safety, and well-being.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary.
- You should be able to read and interpret detailed plans and diagrams.
- A valid Australian Driver's Licence is required.
- Holding a High Risk Work Licence: LF, DG, RB & CB is highly regarded.
- You will deliver effective leadership through engagement, guidance, support, and feedback to teams and individuals.
- Monitor work tasks closely and aid in resolving any associated issues promptly.
- Optimize resource management to minimize costs effectively.
- Encourage innovation and employee engagement to drive continuous improvement in work practices.
- Experience in repairing and maintaining machinery such as CAT, Liebherr, Hitachi, Komatsu, and John Deere mining equipment is essential.
- You should have current experience in a mining or civil engineering environment working on large-scale equipment.
- You will diagnose and work through complex problems.
- A combination of workshop repair work and field maintenance is expected.
- This role offers 9:5 days only (12-hour shifts).
