Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to join our team in Port Macquarie. As a CNC, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical organization, coordination, leadership, and consultancy services within the area of nursing specialty across multiple service groups, target populations, and healthcare professionals.

The successful candidate will have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience and postgraduate qualifications. They will also have a well-developed understanding of virtual care and demonstrated capacity to provide clinical governance and leadership, as well as experience in the provision of education to peers, clients, and other service providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level clinical support and advice on appropriate treatment and access to specialist referral pathways.
  • Offer expert guidance on nursing care and support clinical decision-making through virtual modalities.
  • Lead Central Intake and Aged Care Outreach Services, delivering both virtual and face-to-face care.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience and postgraduate qualifications.
  • Well-developed understanding of virtual care.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide clinical governance and leadership.
