About Us
Auscol plays a vital role in the collection of source material for the production of reduced carbon emissions biodiesel and Sustainable Aviation Fuel. As part of a GrainCorp end-to-end supply chain that sources and processes edible oils for use in food production and food service, Auscol closes the loop by upcycling the subsequent Used Cooking Oil. We provide equipment, transport, and service solutions for the collection and upcycling, working with an extensive customer base across metropolitan, regional, and remote Australia. Our supply chain includes storage tanks, a fleet of high-tech vacuum collection trucks, and an unrivalled inland and portside processing and bulk storage network, all maintained to the highest international standards.
About the Role
This role offers a competitive package, including base salary, superannuation, company car, and opportunities to earn bonuses. Based at our Hamilton site in QLD, this role requires travel and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. We are seeking a Business Development Manager to identify and secure new organic and profitable business growth opportunities, increasing volumes of product collected or sold, and market and share in both metropolitan and regional regions of QLD. You will provide excellent and responsive customer service and support, building and developing strong relationships with existing customers to increase retention and secure customers under service agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop growth strategies and plans
- Maintain a sound knowledge of the business equipment, service, and value proposition
- Increase the customer base
- Build long-term trusting relationships with customers and retention through service agreements
- Draft and review contracts for new and existing business
- Write business proposals
- Negotiate with stakeholders
- Research business opportunities and tailor sales activities to convert
- Report on successes and areas for improvement
- Follow industry trends in Australia and overseas
- Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
- Customize equipment and service solutions to increase customer satisfaction
- Report to the Region Manager on sales, retention, and pipeline results
About Your Experience
We are looking for a successful sales professional with a proven track record of sales success, including cold calling, and customer management and retention. A background in Food Service, Waste, or Recycling would be highly regarded. Key skills include sound communication and negotiation skills, ability to deliver engaging proposals and presentations, ability to build rapport at all levels, time management and planning skills, proficiency in MS Office and CRM software, and determination, resilience, and results-focused attitude.
