Job Opportunity: Merchandise Manager- Active Apparel

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Manager to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising profitability by ensuring that we have the right product, in the right quantities, at the right time.

The ideal candidate will have worked within a complex planning environment and will be adaptable to change and a fast-paced environment. They will be a passionate individual who looks at challenges as an opportunity to develop & will consistently strive for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage sales budget, stock levels and gross profit
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual reports
  • Achieve critical financial targets such as sales, GP, stock turn and sell through
  • Manage stock levels and implement markdown/discounting activities which maximise our exit position (GP%) to determine seasonal buying and aid marketing activities.
  • Manage in-season and post-season performance, to identify best practice, lessons learnt, and improve performance
  • Conduct regular detailed analysis of inventory holding and make relevant recommendations on over and understocked situations

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated retail/wholesale planning experience for an apparel brand with strong eCommerce experience
  • Familiarity with Cin7, Style Arcade and Shopify is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent computer literacy especially with Excel
