Wood's Operations APAC West division specializes in brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimization, and technical services tailored for the Oil & Gas sector, fostering long-term partnerships with leading producers in the region.

The ideal candidate will possess an Engineering degree from a recognized institution and have extensive experience in a similar Lead or Principal Technical Safety, Process Safety, or Risk & Safety Engineering role, with a minimum of 12 years of relevant design engineering experience in the Oil & Gas production or processing sectors.

Key qualifications include:

  • Expertise in Technical Safety, Process Safety, or Risk and Safety engineering, with a solid understanding of advanced engineering principles and techniques, particularly in complex multi-discipline environments.
  • Proven leadership skills with supervisory experience, fostering a collaborative spirit and motivating diverse teams to adopt best practices while prioritizing safety.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and legislation, with the ability to apply technical practices, codes, and standards effectively.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a solutions-oriented mindset, adept at managing risk throughout the design process in alignment with safety, technical, and commercial objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including proficiency in technical report writing and professional presentations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, spreadsheets, and commercial engineering software.
  • A commitment to energy security and transition, with a vision for navigating future energy models, combined with experience in enhancing client efficiency and sustainability.
  • A customer-centric approach, capable of building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining operational excellence.

Your previous experience in a client-facing leadership role on a major long-term Engineering Service Contract in Brownfields Oil & Gas will be a distinct advantage.
