Opportunity Overview
We are actively seeking multiple Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to enhance our maintenance team based in Richmond, filling permanent full-time roles.
Airbus in Australia Pacific stands as the premier contractor for the RAAF fleet of 12 CJ Hercules transport aircraft.
Our AME professionals are tasked with conducting inspections, testing, repairs, modifications, and installations of aircraft hydro-mechanical and flight system components, along with aircraft engine subassemblies and components in a heavy maintenance setting.
You will operate within your competencies and authorizations to help achieve aircraft maintenance objectives and may be assigned to various other maintenance initiatives undertaken by Airbus within the facility.
Candidate Profile
As a vital member of the Richmond Maintenance Team, you will collaborate closely with a diverse and inclusive group of technical specialists focused on achieving success.
To excel in this position, it is essential to thrive in a team-oriented environment. You should be capable of working independently under tight deadlines and be comfortable in a continuous improvement culture.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Cert IV in Aeroskills or an equivalent qualification from a Registered Training Organisation
- Eligibility to obtain a Military Aircraft Maintenance License (MAML)
- Comprehensive knowledge of aviation airworthiness regulations and their application in the relevant context
- Familiarity with relevant aircraft maintenance documentation and practices
- Proficiency in using Interactive Electronic Technical Publications
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
Applicants must be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance and have the capacity to meet pre-employment medical assessments, which may include drug and alcohol testing.
Compensation
Employment will be under the Airbus Australia Pacific (Richmond) Enterprise Agreement, with salaries ranging from $91,000, depending on experience level.
