Anton Murray Consulting is representing a prominent global financial institution that is in search of a Senior Account Manager to enhance their Outsourced Middle Office team. This role offers the flexibility to be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

The primary objective of the Middle Office team is to guarantee that clients receive exceptional Middle Office services. This includes the execution of daily operations to meet key performance indicators (KPIs), managing inquiries, resolving issues, facilitating client changes, and continuously improving the operational framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee client escalations and address issues related to Middle Office services.
  • Lead discussions on Middle Office updates during Client Service reviews and Operations meetings.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with clients.
  • Appropriately escalate client issues for resolution within the broader Middle Office framework.
  • Analyze client reporting to identify opportunities for efficiency and service enhancements.
  • Chair the Middle Office Client Forum.
  • Support client change initiatives and new service offerings as needed.
  • Propose ideas for process improvements in systems and workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to the risk and control framework, including the maintenance and updating of internal procedures.
  • Effectively manage the incident process within reasonable timeframes.
  • Maintain and understand backup and contingency plans in case of system outages.

Required Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • 5+ years of experience in an Account Manager position.
  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in commerce or finance.
  • In-depth knowledge of fixed income, equities, foreign exchange, cash & FX markets, corporate actions, and derivatives.
  • Strong understanding of outsourced Middle Office services.
  • Proficient in the following software systems:
    • TradeFlow
    • Hi-Portfolio
    • Calypso
    • IntelliMatch
    • MS Word and Excel (intermediate to expert level)
