The role of Conservation Officer involves undertaking a range of regulatory activities to provide an efficient and effective service.
You will be responsible for investigating and enforcing regulatory aspects of various Acts and Council policies, as well as undertaking animal control and impounding activities.
- Investigate complaints and incidents relating to regulatory services operations.
- Enforce compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies.
- Undertake regular patrols and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
Additionally, you will provide education and information to the community on a range of Council matters, including conservation and animal management.
To be successful in this role, you should possess relevant industry experience, demonstrated experience in regulatory services and handling domestic animals and livestock, superior communication skills, and the ability to record accurate notes and prepare routine correspondence.
As a key member of our Development and Compliance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the council's regulatory functions are carried out effectively and efficiently.
