Job Summary

Team Leader Position Overview

The role of the Team Leader is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the service centre. This position will supervise a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality court, casework and restorative justice services are provided to young offenders and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate cultural capability and/or commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with human rights principles.
  • Provide supervision in using evidence-based skills and processes to reduce re-offending.
  • Allocate, prioritise and quality assure individual tasks in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Participate in professional development and maintain knowledge of contemporary practice in working with young people who offend.
  • Oversee suicide risk management process.
  • Provide timely advice on complex matters to ensure delivery of quality youth justice casework and restorative justice practices.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning, reviews and key decision-making.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying trends and issues in client service delivery and evaluating outcomes.
